My Sweet Village "Mohanty Patna".

My village “Mohanty Patna “ is situated in Mallika pur Panchayat, Dasarath Pur block of District Jajpur(Costal District), Orissa (India). It is 3 km from Mangal Pur/Ahiyas Bajar and 22 Km from Jajpur town and 45 Km from Jajpur Road railway station. Mangal Pur is a small town and is famous for Durga Puja festival and daily market. About my village, though it is not associated with any historical event; however it is unique in many ways. It is important for me because my lots of memories are associated with my village. This is a big village with 250 houses and about 5000 people live in our village. The village is about one kilometer long. It is unique in its structure. There is a concrete road in our village between the two rows of houses and no communication problem to our village as all roads are well connected to my village. No Medical facility is available here but nearest medical is situated at Mangal pur and Ahiyas. 

Youth club (MCC-Mohanty Patna Cricket Club) is available here for all odd situations. The MCC has set a lot of records and won lots of medals by playing cricket in our locality.

 Here we have one Govt High school (MJHS- Mohanty Patna Jagannth Pur High School) from class 6th to 10th, two miner schools from class 1st to 5th, two anganwadi for kids. The MJHS of our village has been making great result in HSC exam. School students also stage drama every year.

The villagers are very religious and lots of Temples are built in our village (Jagannth Pur Shiv Mandir, Mohanty Patna Shiv temple named praneswar and Maa Budi Jagulai temple, lord Hanuman temple and many more. Some temples are also under construction). Here everybody is dependent on each other. 

This is very Good place where you can feel the nature, in all the seasons. This village is situated on the foot point of the river Called Bhatia, in rainy seasons very beautiful scenery of nature you can enjoy here, on winter you can see the green nature and at summer you can feel the heat as well the heavy blowing of the wind. Extra on it; in winter you can see the flood and its impact and fishing nearly and closely.

Our village is a mixer of cultural and sociological Environment. All festivals (Raja utsav, sabitri, Dasahara, Holi, Janmastami, Ganesh Puja, Saraswati puja, Gopabandhu Puja,Khuduri kuni ossa,Gurubara sera,Agni utsav, mangala Ossa, Kumar purnima etc) are celebrated in my village. Also all members of Cultural society also celebrate Drama Dhamaka every year. Also Badi pala is celebrated every year in our village.

My village is an ideal community. There are politicians, teachers, lectures, doctors, engineers, lawyers, businessmen, farmers, carpenters, barbers and daily wage earners in my village. Most of the people depend upon agriculture. The main earnings comes from cultivation (Dhana, Biri, Mung and other veges are yield.), govt services and business mostly business includes Fish and vegetable. People are very educated and helpful and the young generation of this village is heading towards city for higher education. A lot of people of my village works in different cities of INDIA .Some of the famous people of our village are Sj. Jagannth Mallik (former M.L.A ,M.P Jajpur), Sj. Jagannth Mohanty(former village and school president), Hula Sir( Great Homeopathy physician). Apart from above personalities, Bhikari ch. Mohanty (Bhikari Sir), Ravindra Behera (Ravi Sir) were all proud teachers of that time. Rakhyakar Mallik (new age politician) and Gadadhara Jena (OAS) are also from our village. Besides these people there are many famous people whose list is endless.

  45Km from Panikoeli Chhak,(NH-5) Take Right From Panikoeli Chhak- towards Jajpur Town. You can reach Jajpur Town. Communication – Always you can get bus or travel vehicles from Jajpur Town to Mangal Pur/ Baisapan. From Baisapan there is walk -able distance to Mohanty patna, and it is  3 Km far from Mangal pur . You can take tempo/ Auto to reach.  Nearest Railway Station is Jajpur Road.
